More than 700 people attended and 23 boxes of food were collected for LA Cares!

SaxAtomix To Present Lunch Time Christmas Concert At Betty Ehart Senior Center Wednesday Dec. 13

COMMUNITY News:

The SaxAtomix will present a lunch time Christmas concert at the Betty Ehart Senior Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The quintet will perform a variety of Christmas music including traditional, pop, jazz, county and rock arrangements.

Admission is free.

Museum Hill Invites Visitors To Winter Celebration Dec. 15

NMDCA News:

Friday, Dec. 15, Museum of Indian Arts & Culture and Museum of International Folk Art are back with the Winter Glow Holiday Stroll. Admission to both museums will be free from 4-7 p.m. 

There will be music, artmaking, holiday lights, farolitos, and refreshments. At Museum of Indian Arts & Culture decorate a holiday ornament, enjoy a Pueblo feast, catch the Cloud Eagle Dancers, and Santa will stop by. Museum of International Folk Art will have a short play, La Pastorela Cómica in the Vernick Auditorium, holiday card-making, hot cider, and cookies in the Atrium.

New Mexico Museum of Art (NMMOA) and New Mexico History Museum (NMHM) will once again bring the Holiday Open House to the Plaza Saturday, Dec. 16.

SANTA FE — Katrina Gallegos just started as manager of Coronado-Jemez Historic Site, but she already knows her “stuff” about the state’s history and traditions by growing up here and playing an active role in preserving and protecting the land.

Gallegos’ first day on the job was Nov. 27 but her life has been intertwined with the land and its people since birth.
