Family Strengths Network (FSN) and title sponsor N3B Los Alamos invite the community to attend FSN’s primary annual fundraiser, Lucky Ducky Day (LDD), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at 3540 Orange St.

A line of hungry people wait outside the Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse Lodge this morning for the monthly Cowboy Breakfast at 650 North Mesa Road. The breakfasts are held the first Sunday of each month and benefit different non-profit organizations. The fee for breakfast, which is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10, gets patrons an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Sunday’s breakfast benefits the Sheriff’s Posse, the stewards of the historical lodge at 650 North Mesa Road. The Posse is a non-profit organization supporting the community since 1951. Barranca Mesa Elementary School PTO Announces Inaugural Trick-Or-Trot 5K & 1 Miler Fun Run/Walk

The PTO for Barranca Mesa Elementary School is hosting its annual Trick-or-Trot 5K Fun Run & Walk Saturday, Oct. 28 at Barranca Mesa Elementary School, 57 Loma Del Escolar. 

The 1 Miler starts at 9 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 9:30 a.m.

For the fifth year, the Village of Jemez Springs will be hosting their “I Heart Jemez Art” event 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3 in the Village Plaza.

The Village Plaza will have several arts and crafts vendors selling handmade jewelry, wearable art, wood decor, fine art and more during the event.
