Hillstompers To Celebrate 25th Anniversary With Pub Crawl As Smith’s Marketplace & Opening For Igor And The Red Elvises Friday At The Tub

The Hillstompers are celebrating their 25th anniversary and will host a pub crawl starting at 5 p.m. Friday, at Smith’s Marketplace, before heading over to Bathtub Row Brewing at 6:30 p.m. to open for Igor and the Red Elvises. Afterward, the HIllstompers will hit the streets to continue to provide live music.

ALBUQUERQUE — REVEL will host the first-ever “Love Life ALS Stunt Carnival Saturday, Oct. 4, at 4720 Alexander Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, bringing together stunts, live entertainment, and community activities to raise awareness and support for families impacted by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

New Mexico State Parks: Free Entry And Fishing Sept. 27-28!

SANTA FE — The New Mexico State Parks Division (NMSPD) and the Department of Game and Fish are offering an extra incentive for people to get outdoors this weekend.

All state parks are open for free day-use Sept. 27-28 in recognition of National Public Lands Day. The same day, state parks along the Pecos River are co-hosting the annual Pecos-to-Pecos Road and River Cleanup that brings communities in New Mexico and Texas together.

“Projection and Confession: Self-Portraits” is showing in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library. The exhibit displays nearly 50 self-portraits of regional artists, many of which were created just for this show over the last four months.

In October the State Game and Fish Department will begin stocking lakes and ponds in Southern New Mexico as part of their Winter Trout Stocking Program. These waters are too warm in the summer to sustain trout.

They cool down in the fall and during the winter they do not freeze so trout can survive. This offers anglers in that part of the state the opportunity to cast out without having to make a long drive. These stockings, including Tingley Beach and the drainage canals in Albuquerque, will continue throughout the winter until the end of March.  Read More
