Pajarito Mountain Hosts Summerfest And Father’s Day Brunch June 14 & 15

Saturday, June 14, is Summerfest! The band Animal Parade will be playing (we won’t be having an actual Animal Parade!). Boxing Bear, Blu Dragon, and Bathtub Row will be out pouring. The cafe will be open 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and the lifts will be running for mountain biking and hiking!

Sunday, June 15 Pajarito Mountain Cafe will feature a special Father’s Day Brunch with a delicious menu.

Local Elk Turns 24 And You’re Invited to the Party!

CHAMITA — One of the oldest known elk in captivity is turning 24 this month, and Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation is inviting the public to celebrate!
Rescued in 2001 after being found entering dog doors as a calf, the elk has since become a beloved ambassador and foster mother to numerous orphaned elk calves, helping them return to the wild.
A birthday party will be held 4-7 p.m., June 28, featuring elk-themed fun, enrichment activities, and an educational talk.

The 4th of July is right around the corner and Los Alamos County is gearing for the event! The 4th of July Spectacular will be held from 4 p.m.–10 p.m., Friday, July 4th, at Ashley Pond Park in Los Alamos.
