Upstart Crows of Santa Fe and The Shakespeare Gym present an uncut production of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Romeo and Juliet.

Two casts – one an age-accurate mix of adults and youth, the other a gender- blind, age- blind cast perform in the historic Scottish Rite Temple and then in the Crows own black box theater in Eldorado. The combination of veteran Crows, experienced Gym members and professional actors, along with up-and-coming members of the Company make this an exciting experience of the entire play, including scenes rarely seen in stage and film.

Spring has sprung at Kuaua Pueblo at Coronado Historic Site and the garden needs tending.

From 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 28, Coronado Historic Site’s Ranger Anthony will lead the monthly program, “What’s Growing on, Kuaua.”

Each month Ranger Anthony demonstrates different gardening techniques and aspects of garden care and maintenance. Bring water and wear comfortable clothes, a hat, and shoes you can get dirty.

McCurdy Ministries Announces Children’s Literacy Initiative For Española Valley With Ribbon Cutting/Open House May 27

LEER (leh-EHR, to read), a Children’s Literacy Program for the Española Valley, aims to improve children’s reading proficiency through access to books and vetted, trained, caring adults (Reading Buddies) who read one on one with elementary students.
