Inaugural Pajarito Oktoberfest Draws Large Crowd

The inaugural Pajarito Oktoberfest drew a large crowd Saturday to Pajarito Mountain. Pajarito Mountain and TCR Productions teamed up to produce this all-around win for the community. This collaboration yielded the Pajarito Mountain Run 10K, which benefits the Los Alamos High School Cross Country Team. SYDNEY, Australia – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is leading a business and trade mission today to Australia on Sunday to participate in the Asia Pacific Hydrogen 2023 Summit and meet with manufacturing companies interested in expanding to New Mexico.

New Mexico Sets Economic Impact Record For Tourism In 2022

SANTA FE — After witnessing record visitation to New Mexico in 2022, New Mexico set a record $8.3 billion in direct visitor spending from tourism in 2022 according to a new study from the New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD).

The 2022 direct visitor spending record of $8.3 billion surpassed 2021 by $1.1 billion. The all-time direct visitor spending record was previously set in 2019 at a total of $7.4 billion.

North Bound Lane Closure On Diamond At Canyon Today

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division crews will close the north bound bike lane on Diamond Drive beginning at the Canyon Road intersection at 8:30 a.m. through noon today, Oct. 20, weather permitting.

Field modifications allow the bike lane to shift over to the right north bound lane. Vehicle traffic will use the left north bound lane. Vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic are urged to slow down and watch for traffic signs and devices to guide them through the construction zone.

SANTA FE — Rio Metro Regional Transit and Herzog Transit Services will be cleaning the salt residue from the railroad ballast beneath the crossing panels at the intersection of Cerrillos Road and St. Francis Drive beginning Friday Oct. 20. This work is necessary to prevent the false activations of the crossing equipment at the intersection.
