The Los Alamos Farmers Market will continue curbside pickup 10 a.m. to noon, Thursdays December through April in the Upper Parking Lot off Central Avenue between Fuller Lodge and the Mesa Public Library overflow parking lot.

Patrons should order in advance from vendors.

ALBUQUERQUE — Most Reverend John C. Wester, Archbishop of Santa Fe, will hold an “Unveiling and Blessing of a Sign of Peace” at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Santa Fe (417 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).

Archbishop Wester will unveil this sign to initiate a comprehensive conversation on nuclear disarmament as a critical step toward world peace. He believes the Archdiocese of Santa Fe has a special role to play in facilitating this urgent dialogue.

County: Code Compliance Survey Open To Everyone

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos community members are encouraged to take a survey currently underway by the Los Alamos County Community Development Department (CDD) and its consultant DPS. 

The survey is specifically seeking input on the County’s Chapter 18 Nuisance Code.

Open until Dec. 27, individuals can access the online survey by visiting the Chapter 18 Nuisance Code Update webpage. CDD officials advise that the survey will work in most browsers with the exception of Internet Explorer.

SANTA FE — As New Mexicans participate in Christmas events involving alcohol, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and its partners are promoting a program to get people living in the Bernalillo County metro area home safely.

NMDOT is partnering with Bernalillo County, the city of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber to support the “Take a Ride on Us” program designed to combat drunk driving.
