“Keep It Simple Stupid – Yoga” was one of the books my yoga teacher recommended to me when I shared with her that I wanted to be a yoga teacher. My first thought was, “Wow! Really?”

However, I did what she recommended and am so glad I did. Bottomline, the book explained in very simple terms the various styles of yoga, which at that time, could be summed up in one book. Today, that would be a harder task.

Sometimes we forget that simple is often the best way to handle things, move forward or make change.

Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)

And so, as we look at our world … it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Or not.

“And that’s another thing,” Herb said, with finality, “Changing that dang year on everything we write, every January. Goes against human nature.”

“Well I might just have an answer to your problem, Herb,” Doc said, sipping and dunking and stirring. “Why don’t we, here at the philosophy counter, pick out a year we like and stick with it? Date everything we do with that year. It might start a movement, you never know.”

Steve looked up from his coffee and twitched his voluminous mustache then twitched it again to make sure he got it right the first time.

“So Doc,” he said, “you’re Read More
