Lane Closure On West Road Scheduled For Wednesday

COUNTY News:

Traffic on West Road will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Oct. 22, between Fairway Drive and the Los Alamos County Ice Rink.

Drivers should expect delays due to flagging operations and are encouraged to take alternate routes that day.

The closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow Water Production crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) to repair a water line.

As of 8:10 p.m. today, Oct. 20, Los Alamos County officials report that the disabled truck and trailer have been towed from the area of Diamond Drive and Arkansas.

The eastbound lane has been fully reopened.

SANTA FE — New Mexico’s housing market held steady in September 2025, with 1,725 home sales, marking a 0.4% increase from August’s 1,718 and a 12.6% rise year-over-year from the 1,532 homes sold in September 2024. 

The median sold price climbed to $364,500, up 1.25% from the previous month and 7% higher than a year ago.

These figures reflect a market that remains active and resilient heading into fall, with moderate monthly growth and continued strong demand compared to last year.
