Pajarito Brew Pub Enters Girl Scout Cookie Caper

EGGSTRAVAGANZA Rolls Out March 31 at Golf Course!

It is that time of year again and everyones invited to the annual EGGSTRAVAGANZA at the Los Alamos Golf Course!

Over the past several years, the popular event has grown from participation of 500 kids to well over 800 last year.

It has become a huge community event, with participation from surrounding cities.

In his March 7 letter to the editor, (“White Rock Needs a Pub”) Jon Hicks asks if there are any hopes for a local bar where patrons can enjoy a pint of beer and a quiet conversation without having to compete with big screen TVs and sportscasts blaring at full volume.

Well, I am happy to report that there is, in fact, a hope for just this sort of establishment in either White Rock or Los Alamos, or both.

But it is up to the citizens of Los Alamos County to help make the vision a reality.

Empty Nesters Group to Learn Estate Planning

A new group, “Empty Nesters and Friends,” will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the second Monday of each month through June at Family Strengths Network (FSN.)

This is an opportunity to enjoy speakers and socialize. Empty Nester wannabes are welcome, too.

Hypnotherapist Kelly McLoughlin believes that the mind can do amazing things.

“For years I’ve been studying the power of the mind. Your thoughts truly create your reality,: she said. “The subconscious is so powerful it can heal the body as well as the mind.”
