Local Youth Attend Santa Fe Opera

The Espanola Valley Opera Guild hosted more than 60 local youth and their families Monday, June 26 at the Santa Fe Opera.

 

The students were members of the Pojoaque Valley High School Choir and Moving Arts Espanola. They were treated to a dessert tailgate/masquerade party on Twomey Terrace at the Opera and were served gelato made by Daniel’s Café in Los Alamos, homemade cookies and sparkling apple cider.

The Tuesdays at the Pond Entertainment Series continues this evening with Roaring Jelly. Brought to you by the Los Alamos Creative District, the concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Ashley Pond Park stage.

Classical guitar music is something that can be heard around the world and at 7 p.m. Thursday, the music will be played locally. Los Alamos native Mohit Dubey will present a free performance in Mesa Public Library’s upstairs rotunda.

 

Dubey grew up in Los Alamos but studies at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio where he is pursuing both a guitar and a physics degree. He is working as a summer intern at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Read More
