Local Youth Attend Santa Fe Opera

The Espanola Valley Opera Guild hosted more than 60 local youth and their families Monday, June 26 at the Santa Fe Opera.

The students were members of the Pojoaque Valley High School Choir and Moving Arts Espanola. They were treated to a dessert tailgate/masquerade party on Twomey Terrace at the Opera and were served gelato made by Daniel’s Café in Los Alamos, homemade cookies and sparkling apple cider.

ALBUQUERQUE ― Domingos en Arte, a summer music and dance series presented by Melaza Music, AMP Concerts, and the National Hispanic Cultural Center in the NHCC’s Fountain Courtyard, continues its second season in July.

Musicians from the local community and outside have been invited for lively community get-togethers right next to the Rio Grande Bosque. Spend Sunday evenings enjoying live music, drinks, and delicious Latin cuisine with family and friends in this enchanting courtyard setting.

The Tuesdays at the Pond Entertainment Series continues this evening with Roaring Jelly. Brought to you by the Los Alamos Creative District, the concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Ashley Pond Park stage.

Coro de Cámara welcomes the acclaimed Princeton Girlchoir’s advanced touring ensemble Tuesday, July 11, to Los Alamos on its first concert stop of a summer Southwest tour. This is a unique opportunity for the Los Alamos community to hear two premier choruses in concert together.

Classical guitar music is something that can be heard around the world and at 7 p.m. Thursday, the music will be played locally. Los Alamos native Mohit Dubey will present a free performance in Mesa Public Library’s upstairs rotunda.

Dubey grew up in Los Alamos but studies at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio where he is pursuing both a guitar and a physics degree. He is working as a summer intern at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Read More
