Santa Fe National Forest Waives Fees For Juneteenth

SFNF News:

  • All District Offices closed June 19 for Federal Holiday

SANTA FE—To honor the significance of the Juneteenth holiday, the Santa Fe National Forest. (SFNF) will waive fees at many day use recreation sites Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

All SFNF District Offices and the Supervisor’s Office in Santa Fe will be closed and will resume business hours Thursday, June 20.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Ensign Cade Hermeling, a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, is serving in the U.S. Navy where naval aviators learn the skills they need to fly missions around the world.

Hermeling, a 2015 graduate of Santa Fe High School, joined the Navy a year and a half ago. Hermeling also earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian language and literature from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019.
