A big thank you to the Secretary of State’s staff and the Los Alamos County Clerk and her staff for all the many hours and hard work that went on behind the scenes in accomplishing the first ever in New Mexico statewide recount.

I’m sure much the same thing went on in clerk’s offices across the state. Those of us who did the recount in Los Alamos saw how hard Sharon Stover, Adrianna Ortiz, Gloria Maestas, Ona Trujillo and Jocelyn Warner had worked in preparing for the recount to go smoothly.

I was pleased to see Council back away from the marketing tagline “Living Exponentially”. If a phrase has little or no meaning to the community it is supposed to define, one can hardly expect it to mean much to those outside the community, which is of course key to any marketing campaign. We look to this resource for reliable, objective reporting from staff, only to find subjective, second-hand information reported.
