It is imperative that the Obama administration take immediate action to prevent the mass murder of 30,000 to 50,000 people in northern Iraq.

This imminent mass murder is just the beginning of what will almost certainly become the genocide of a people possibly numbering as many as 500,000, unless the US moves to stop it.

I’m sure I am speaking for many people when I say that I am angered and disappointed by the recent graffiti activity around White Rock.

My husband and I chose to find our first home in White Rock because of the safety and security it provides. This nightly behavior is frightening, especially since I found graffiti on my electrical box in the front yard of my home. That is too close for comfort. Who’s to say they won’t take matters further?

As described by the Forest Service*, the Sipapu Group seeks to construct a 6.8-mile pipeline to take water from a County tank of potable water, and from the Los Alamos reservoir if water is available, to a constructed pond on Pajarito Mountain.

I am happy to report that Smith’s corporate office has listened to the White Rock community and has informed the employees of the store to match their prices with the Los Alamos store.

The president of the Kroger company called and talked with the employee in charge of pricing at the White Rock store and personally discussed the issue of our two communities being treated the same.

I would like to encourage the residents of White Rock to give feedback to Smith’s Food and Drugs about the issue of prices not being the same at both of our Smith’s stores.

The sale ad that comes in the mail to ALL residents of Los Alamos (including White Rock) are only good at the Smith’s Marketplace. I have spoken with the customer service department and they recommend that we write letters and emails requesting that the prices of items available at both stores be the same.

Right now the sale prices are not the same and White Rock residents are not mailed
