FBI: Las Cruces Man Charged With Drug, Firearms Crimes

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced that Djuan Anthony Aldredge was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Aldredge, 30, of Las Cruces, appeared in federal court Nov. 30 for a detention hearing and will remain in custody pending trial, which has not been scheduled.

ALBUQUERQUE—New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas announced today that two missing Indigenous persons were found safe in Albuquerque. 

Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Bureau of Indian Affairs asked the Attorney General’s Missing & Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Task Force to assist in locating a 15-year-old female who was reported missing by her uncle, and legal guardian, from the Socorro area.

FBI: Man From Las Cruces Pleads Guilty To Carjacking Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury

ALBUQUERQUE Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, announced that Jesus Manuel Castaneda-Villa pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to carjacking resulting in serious bodily injury. Castaneda-Villa, 32, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, will remain in custody pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.

SANTA FE COUNTY – At about 10:37 p.m., Wednesday Nov. 23, 2022, a New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officer on patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2005 Dodge Neon passenger car for driving recklessly on Interstate 25 northbound near milepost 280 in Santa Fe.

The driver of the Dodge continued to travel north on Interstate 25 and refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

FBI Offers $5K Reward In Laguna Pueblo Homicide

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the stabbing death of a Laguna Pueblo man.

Aug. 12, 2021, Victor G. Jones, 42, was found deceased in the driveway of a residence in New Laguna, N.M.

The cause of death was a stab wound to his chest.

The FBI has posted an updated list of 203 Native Americans verified as missing throughout New Mexico and the Navajo Nation.

The FBI website also has been improved.

The FBI and its partners are asking the public to go to https:////fbi.gov/mmip and if they know the location of anyone on the list, please call law enforcement immediately.

(37 added, 26 removed. Last month, the list had 192 and now it is at 203.)

A spokesperson for the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has confirmed to the Los Alamos Daily Post this afternoon that Diane Albert (former Los Alamos County Councilor and LANL employee) is the victim of what is believed to be a murder-suicide in her residence Friday afternoon in Albuquerque.

A friend of the decedents contacted deputies after receiving a troubling message from Albert’s husband Eric Pinkerton, according to BCSO. Upon arrival, deputies located the decedents, Albert, 65, and Pinkerton, 63, inside the residence along with several dead animals. Read More
