The Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space Division has announced the upcoming construction of new pavilions at Ashley Pond aimed to enhance community engagement and outdoor experiences for residents and visitors alike.
The project began Monday and is expected to be completed by Nov. 22, 2024. The project will start with the removal of two existing slabs, followed by site preparation for the new ones. Once the new slabs are in place, the pavilion building process will commence.

4014 Arriving: After much waiting the anxious crowd spotted the Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive as it rounded a curve and came into view. The sunny fall day was perfect for viewing the locomotive during a stop in Greeley, Colo. The locomotive was actually about 15 minutes early and was stopped for almost 45 minutes before leaving for its final destination
