Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort Opens For 2025-2026 Season

VADITO — Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort welcomed guests as winter made its first appearance in Northern New Mexico. The resort opened Lift 2 and welcomed skiers and riders to experience their first tracks of the winter.

The snowmaking team worked hard to get the run open on Friday and hopes to make more snow throughout the week, opening up more terrain.

Topper Football Closes 2025 Season With 31-13 Loss

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers football team lost Saturday’s home playoff game against Gadsden by a score of 31-13. The Toppers controlled the Panthers’ running game, but the Panthers’ passing game was the winning combination that won the game for the Panthers. There is still time to submit nominations for the Los Alamos High School (LAHS) 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame. All submissions are due no later than Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.

Since its inception in 2014, there have been 60 LAHS Hall of Fame members. Nominees may be former student-athletes who graduated from LAHS, former coaches or any individual who has made an outstanding contribution to or has had a significant impact on the Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) athletic program.
