Announcing the Start of the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games Open

The 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games Open has officially begun. Welcome to week one: Constantly varied … high intensity … functional movement – CrossFit.

Current clients of CrossFit and Mesa Elite Fitness are invited to attend the local competition, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at CrossFit Los Alamos, 278-A DP Road.

Note: The public is welcome to come out and observe this intense and exciting competition.

Mountain West Names Men’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week Alex Kirk and Derrick Marks

COLORADO SPRINGS – New Mexico sophomore center Alex Kirk and Boise State sophomore guard Derrick Marks have been named Mountain West Men’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week for games through March 3.

This is the third career Mountain West weekly accolade for both Marks and Kirk.

Registration is officially open for the 58th annual Los Alamos Little League Baseball/Softball season.

Registration is $55 for the first child and $50 per child thereafter. Financial assistance is available.

Two teenagers from Los Alamos were crowned King and Queen of Pajarito Mountain at Saturday’s Skiesta.

Steven Calhoun, 15, won first place in the Rail Jam and Sloppy Slalom events. JoAnna O’Neill, 15, won first place in the Rail Jam, Sloppy Slalom, Giant Slalom and Big Air events.

U.S Bank is a supporter of high school athletics/activities and has been a major sponsor of the NMAA for many years now.

In addition to serving as the title sponsor of the State Football, Basketball and Track Championships, U.S. Bank has also served as a large contributor to the NMAA Foundation.

Now, they are taking this even further with Monday’s launch of the “Rally4Rewards” program.
