Los Alamos High & Middle School Athletes Spotted Friday Clearing Snow From Urban Park Tennis Courts

On Friday morning, Los Alamos High School and Los Alamos Middle School Tennis Team athletes, parents and coaches showed up armed with shovels and snowblowers to clear the Urban Park tennis courts. Topper Soccer Teams Drop Quarterfinal Games To Chargers

The Los Alamos High School Topper girls and boys soccer teams brave cold, rain, snow and transportation difficulties to play their quarterfinal games Saturday against the Albuquerque Academy chargers on Richard Harper Memorial Field. The weather was not cooperating and as the games began it became clear the Chargers were the stronger teams, and they won both games 2-0. The girls posed for a photo before the game began. Pajarito Mountain will open this Saturday, Nov. 9  for its ski season, five weeks before its scheduled opening date. The mountain will open with Aspen lift.

The mountain received 29” of snow in the 72 hours, allowing the resort to get open.

Los Alamos High School Football First Round State Tournament Game Rescheduled For Saturday

LAPS News:

Due to the weather forecast for Friday, the first round of the NMAA State Football Tournament game between Los Alamos High School and Valley High School has been moved to Saturday, No. 9.

The game will be played at Sullivan Field. Game time is 12 p.m. Gates will open at 11 a.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for students, military and seniors (age 65 and older). Tickets may be purchased in advance through GoFan.

Griffith Gym Evacuated Due To Fire Alarm Ahead Of Topper Girls Volleyball Game Against Moriarty

A fire alarm sounded and Griffith Gymnasium was evacuated Tuesday night prior to the start of the Topper girls  volleyball game against Moriarty. Girls U10 Comp Soccer TryOuts At Overlook Today

SPORTS News:

Girls U10 Comp Soccer TryOuts open to girls born in 2015 and  2016, is 3:30-5 p.m.  today at the Overlook soccer field.

The focus will be quality player development in a fun, competitive soccer environment. 

Players will get to work with experienced coaches, continue to develop soccer skills and compete in games with other girls their age. 

Games will be played on Saturdays in Bernalillo starting in March 2025. The Girls U10 Comp team will also participate in 1-2 tournaments.

Hilltoppers To Host Valley In First Round Of State Football Tourney Friday

The Los Alamos High School Football team will host Valley High School in the first round of the NMAA State Football Tournament this Friday, Nov. 8, at Sullivan Field.

This is the third year in a row that the Hilltoppers have hosted a first-round game. Game time is 7 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
