Topper Softball Wins Doubleheader In Pojoaque Valley

The Pojoaque Valley Elkettes hosted the Toppers in a doubleheader on a cold, windy, miserable Saturday played at Peterson Field on the Pojoaque High School Campus. The only pleasant thing was the Toppers swept the Elkettes in both games 18-5 and 10-8. Both teams played solid ball but the Toppers overpowered the Elkettes. Here Reyana Naranjo gets a big hit in the first inning to start the Toppers’ game going. She had 2 runs, 1 hit (a triple), and 2 RBIs on the day. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
