Spine-tingling Science Is The Treat At The 2023 High-Tech Halloween Friday Oct. 27 At Bradbury Science Museum

The Bradbury Science Museum is offering something a little different this season with hands-on STEM education fun for the whole family at High-Tech Halloween, 4-6 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 27, at the museum at 1450 Central Ave.

The Northern New Mexico community is invited, costumes are encouraged and activities are both eerie and educational. High-Tech Halloween is part of Los Alamos’s annual Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet. Both events are free.

We’ve all seen the news and probably tried to shield our kids from the worst of it and many people are looking for ways to help people in Gaza and Israel during this crisis. Unfortunately this leaves people wide open to scammers, read on to learn how to safely donate and avoid getting scammed.

Society for Science has announced 30 finalists in the inaugural Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (Thermo Fisher JIC), the nation’s premier middle school science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) competition.

Tate Plohr, now a freshman at Los Alamos High School, is one of these finalists. His project is titled, The Stability of Solar Flares.

WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Sens. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) welcomed calls from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) urging the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to adopt strong rules against digital discrimination.

In a filing with the FCC, the NTIA urged the FCC to adopt a definition of digital discrimination that includes both disparate treatment and disparate impact on protected groups.
