Water Repairs On Iris Street Scheduled For Monday

COUNTY News:

Gas, Water, and Sewer crews from the Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will be working on a water leak on Iris Street and drivers should expect to see traffic controls in place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26.

Signs warning motorists of the road closure will be placed at the corner of Iris Street and 6th Street.

A short section of Iris Street will be closed near the middle of the block. DPU crews will restrict traffic to only those residents who live on Iris Street.

Scene of Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities water crews begin digging up a leaking water pipe this morning on 40th Street near Diamond Drive in North Community. While repairs are underway, a portion of 40th Street is expected to be closed to through traffic until approximately 4 p.m. today. Signs warning motorists of the road closure are placed at the corner of Diamond Drive and 40th Street as well as at Sycamore Street.  A portion of 40th Street in North Community is closed to through traffic for emergency water repairs today.

The work is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.

Signs warning motorists of the road closure are placed at the corner of Diamond Dr. and 40th St. as well as at Sycamore St. and 40th St. The affected portion of the streets is approximately in the middle of that street.

New Mexico To Receive $38 Million To Support Expansion Of Electric Vehicle Charging Network

U.S. SENATE News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) announced that New Mexico’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Deployment Plan has been approved by the Biden-Harris administration, under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, established and funded by the Infrastructure Law that Senator Heinrich championed into law.

County: Atomic City Transit Route 3 Service Suspended Monday Through Sept. 30 Due To Lack Of Staff  

COUNTY News:

Atomic City Transit Route 3 service will be suspended for two weeks beginning Monday, Sept.19 through Friday, Sept. 30, due to lack of staff. 

Service to Entrada Drive, Bus Stop #570 Entrada Drive and Camino Entrada and Bus Stop #571 Entradra and Camino Entrada will be serviced by Route 1 with on-request service.

Riders are advised to notify the driver if they need to be dropped off at these stops. Customers wishing a pick-up from these locations should contact the ACT administrative office 505.661.7433 to request the service.
