Canyon Rim Walking Trail Closed For Repairs

COUNTY News:

GME Emulsion, LLC will begin trail rehabilitation on Canyon Rim Walking Trail from Knecht Street to the trail termini at the parking lot under construction with the underpass.

The first section of trail repair is between Knecht Street and DP Road and the second section is from DP Road to the trail termini. These sections of the trail will be closed during the repairs, which include mill and overlay, crack sealing and fog seal.

No street closures will occur during the construction.

Repaving Project Begins On US 84 In Abiquiu July 26

NMDOT News:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Cutler Repaving Inc. will begin a pavement rehabilitation project Monday July 26 on US 84 in Abiquiu.

Work will take place from mile marker 216 to 223.5. The 7.5-mile project is expected to last 27 working days and will include new pavement and striping.

Crews will work 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., six days a week weather permitting. There will be traffic control personnel at each end of the closure, and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.

Alert: Omega Bridge Pedestrian/Bike Path Closing Today

Traffic Alert:

Los Alamos County is announcing on behalf of Los Alamos National Laboratory that the pedestrian/bike path on the Omega Bridge will close starting Tuesday, July 20, during weekday work hours.

Construction crews will work on the bridge 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Traffic Alert: Lane Closure On Diamond Drive Friday

COUNTY News:

Weather permitting, Cablecom, LLC will be closing the westbound driving lane and shoulder on Diamond Drive between 36th Street and Arkansas Avenue to perform conduit checks.

The sidewalks along the work zone also will be closed. However, the contractor will assist pedestrian traffic through the sidewalks as needed. No construction will occur on the sidewalks.

Work is scheduled to begin 9 a.m. and end 4 p.m. Friday, July 9.

Pedestrian and vehicle traffic are urged to slow down and obey all traffic control devices within this work zone.

TAOS — To accommodate a Federal Highway Administration construction project in Taos, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces limited public access at Wild Rivers Recreation Area July 11 through Aug. 7, 2021.
