RTD Indigenous Peoples’ Day Holiday Closure Oct. 14

RTD News:
 
The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD Blue Buses will not be in service Monday, Oct. 14, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
 
The exception will be the RTD 255 Mountain Trail route to the Santa Fe National Forest and the 800 Angel Fire, route which will be operating its normal schedule.

State Police Announce Sobriety Checkpoints And Saturation Patrols Across New Mexico In October

New Mexico State Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of October 2019.
 
NMSP is bringing awareness to these events in an effort to reduce alcohol related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

Rotary Exchange Student Dufal Discusses France

Gabriel Dufal, the 2019-2020 Youth Exchange student hosted by the Rotary Club of Los Alamos, recently told members about his life and family in Lyon, the second largest city in France. His mother is a teacher; his father an accountant. Dufal arrived in New Mexico for the school year in early August and has already participated in both the Fair and Rodeo Parade and Homecoming Parade. He also has spent a weekend in Chama, riding aboard the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad with other Rotary youth exchange students assigned to District 5520, which encompasses all of New Mexico and west Texas. Dufal Read More

SANTA FE The New Mexico Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that maintenance crews will be out in full force conducting litter pickup along U.S. 84/285 from just North of Santa Fe to Pojoaque and on I-25 from La Bajada to Old Pecos Trail Exit in Santa Fe.
