Fog Seal Project Start Date Changed To Oct. 28
COUNTY News:Due to upcoming weather concerns Thursday, Oct. 24, the fog seal project in White Rock has been changed to Thursday, Oct. 28 and Friday Oct. 29.
GM Emulsion will start fog sealing beginning on Rover Boulevard starting at N.M. 4 and continue toward Grand Canyon Drive.
Crews will continue down Grand Canyon Drive starting at N.M. 4 to Meadow Lane. They also will work on Bryce Avenue, starting at Rover Boulevard to Meadow Lane. Crews will work 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Weather permitting, work should be completed by Friday, Oct. 29.

Traffic & Streets Division crews have completed the installation of the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) on Diamond Drive at the Golf Course Crosswalk.
The RRFBs are push button activated amber LEDs that supplement the warning signs at the crosswalk. They use an irregular flash pattern that is similar to emergency flashers on police vehicles. This flash pattern has shown to elicit a greater response from drivers than traditional flashers. Read More

The rotor (spinning part) of a very large motor-generator was found to need repairs at a specialized repair site in Virginia.
The first part of this trip to repair it will be by truck that will take it to a rail station. Because it is so large and so heavy, it required a special truck assembly to move it. The truck took up two lanes of NM Highway 4 as it travelled.
