Traffic Alert: Rover Boulevard Southbound Right Lane Closure Near Del Norte Credit Union Thursday

Traffic Alert:

Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets division will be working on Rover Boulevard Thursday, May 2 in White Rock to repair a cut in the road.

The cut was caused by an emergency water line break that occurred a few weeks back.

The lane closure will occur in the southbound right lane next to Del Norte Credit Union. Crews will begin setting up traffic control at 8 a.m. and should complete the project by noon.

Caution: Keep a safe distance from the crew and follow all traffic control devices for your safety and those working this project.

NMDOT: Cinco de Mayo Super Blitz Begins Monday

NMDOT News:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) reports there were 125 alcohol-involved crash fatalities in New Mexico last year.

“New Mexico is making progress to stop drunk driving, but everyone has to take it seriously. One death on our roadways is one too many,” NMDOT Cabinet Secretary Mike Sandoval said. “We’re better than that. We have a responsibility to change the destructive behaviors generation after generation of New Mexican’s continue to repeat. Driving drunk is never acceptable.”

U.S. 84/285 Buffalo Thunder Pavement Preservation Remedial Work Weekend Lane Closures April 27-28

NMDOT News:
 
New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues pavement preservation remedial work on U.S. 84/285 from milepost 178.00 (Buffalo Thunder) to 182.00 (CR 109 just north of Nambe.
 
The contractor will be milling the existing asphalt and then follow with a heater scarification overlay process.
 
This Weekend, April 27-28, U.S. 84/285 northbound and southbound lanes will have various lane closures and will be reduced to one lane. Motorists can expect delays 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is an 11’ width restriction.

Paving operations are underway throughout the village, with work estimated to be finished no later than Saturday, May 4, weather permitting. The remaining milling work will be completed Wednesday through Friday. Road Work In White Rock To Begin Monday

COUNTY News:

Beginning Monday, April 29, contractor Cable Com will begin a construction project along 11 Sherwood Blvd. from N.M. 4 in front of the White Rock Branch Library.

The work is estimated to be completed May 3. The work includes an open cut trench and will require asphalt cut and replacement. The project also may involve concrete cut and replacement.

As a result, this section of road will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be re-routed to Bonnie View Drive and Longview Drive.

Traffic Alert: Multiple Vehicle Crash Bottom Of Main Hill

Traffic Alert:

Los Alamos Police report a multiple vehicle crash near the twin tanks at the bottom of the Main Hill Road.

Santa Fe County Sheriff’s deputies are on the scene along with medical response vehicles.

With only one lane open, traffic is backed up on the Main Hill Road as well as all the way to Pajarito on N.M. 4.

Police report that clearing the scene is going to take awhile and encourage motorists to avoid the area if at all possible. Read More
