Date Pending For Full Closure Of East Jemez Road

NNSA News:

Dates are pending for a weekend closure of East Jemez Road near the entrance of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Plans were to begin construction Friday, April 26. The new start date will be announced prior to construction.

The lane closures are necessary to allow workers to replace a main water line, which requires open trenching across East Jemez Road, between the Omega Bridge and LANL entrance.

U.S. 84/285 Buffalo Thunder Pavement Preservation Remedial Work Southbound Lane Closures April 23

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation remedial work on U.S. 84/285 at milepost 178.00 (Buffalo Thunder) to 182.00 (CR 109 just north of Nambe).  
 
The contractor will be milling the existing asphalt and then follow with a heater scarification overlay process.
 
Starting Tuesday April 23 – U.S. 84/285 southbound lanes will have various lane closures and will be reduced to one lane. Motorists can expect delays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. There is an 11’ width restriction.

RTD Adds Bus To 150 Chimayo Route On Good Friday

In addition to its regular 150 Chimayo Route, the North Central Regional Transit District (RTD “Blue Bus”) will be adding an additional bus along its Española to Chimayo route to accommodate people making the annual pilgrimage on Good Friday, April 19t o El Santuario de Chimayo.
