Udall, Heinrich Announce $6.5 Million For Construction And Maintenance At 11 NM Airports

WASHINGTON, D.C.  U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich have announced more than $6.5 million in grants for maintenance and construction projects at 11 New Mexico airports.
 
The grants were awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Aviation Analysis, and fund runway rehabilitations, building and fencing construction, and other safety improvements.

Atomic City Transit Provides Special Event Bus Service In Los Alamos And White Rock July 4

Atomic City Transit will provide special bus service to the fireworks event Monday, July 4 at the Overlook Park in White Rock.
 
The fare free buses depart from Sullivan Field in Los Alamos, and travel to the event at Overlook Park. Park-and-Ride bus options in White Rock depart every 10 minutes, 4-8:30 p.m., from the White Rock Visitor’s Center and Piñon Elementary School.
 
The final bus leaves Overlook Park at 11 p.m. following the annual event.
 
Folded strollers and small coolers are allowed on the bus for the fireworks event.

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that it will resume service on its pilot RTD (“Blue Bus”) Mountain Trail route Friday, July 1 and run through Aug. 31.
 
The Mountain Trail route provides service from South Capitol Rail Runner Station to stops through Downtown, Fort Marcy Park and then up Hyde Park Road to recreational areas and businesses along N.M. 475 concluding at Ski Santa Fe. WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich have announced $5,290,000 in grants to support air transportation infrastructure projects at airports in Artesia and Roswell.
 
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), an agency under the U.S. Department of Transportation, awarded the grants to fund airport rehabilitation projects.

ALBUQUERQUE – One of Albuquerque’s most dangerous roadways is getting a major facelift this week to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety.

Zuni Road in Southeast Albuquerque is one of the city’s most heavily traveled urban roadways and the location of a disproportionate number of pedestrian casualties.
