New Mexico Announces Lane Travel For Tractor-trailers

NMSP News:

SANTA FE — The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) has teamed up with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and the New Mexico Trucking Association (NMTA) to make drivers aware of required lane travel for tractor-trailers.

Beginning Saturday, July 1, 2023, as per New Mexico Senate Bill 102, Section 1. 66-7-376 NMSA 1978, a truck tractor shall not be driven in the left lane of a roadway except under provisions as outlined by the bill.

Failure to obey could result in a penalty assessment of $250 for the first and second offenses and $500 for the third offense.

Woodland Road To Close On 4th Of July For Block Party

There will be a road closure at the bottom of Woodland Road adjacent to Club Road 2-9 p.m. Tuesday July 4 for a family event and block party.

Atomic City Transit will provide free shuttle service for the Los Alamos Fourth of July event at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Shuttle service will begin at 3 p.m. from Diamond Drive & Canyon Road in Los Alamos and the White Rock Visitor Center on N.M. 4 and Piñon Elementary School parking lot on Grand Canyon Drive in White Rock.
