NMDOT: I 25 Repaving Project Begins In Santa Fe Area

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Brasier Asphalt Inc. will begin a pavement rehabilitation project Monday, June 12 in the Santa Fe area. 

Work will take place on I 25 in both directions from mile marker 277 (South of Cerrillos Rd.) to 290 (South of El Dorado). The 13-mile project is expected to last 20 working days and will include new pavement and striping.

NCRTD Board Approves 20-Year Long Range Strategic Plan

NCRTD News:

The North Central RTD (The “District” or NCRTD) board of Directors has approved a new Long Range Strategic Plan that will affect all service areas in efforts to enrich main town centers, improve accessibility, and expand service.

The Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) details the commitments and goals of the District over a 20 year period and will be reviewed periodically throughout the upcoming years. This will ensure that the LRSP will stay up to date will current affairs and technology that may affect the District’s plan.

Atomic City Transit Service Begins For Summer Concerts

The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is in full swing every Friday night at Ashley Pond Park and Atomic City Transit will provide the convenience of shuttle service.   

Routes 4 and 6 have been extended and service to White Rock will be provided until ~10:30 p.m. with modified routing to and from Ashley Pond.

Bandelier Shuttle Service Resumes Wednesday June 14

COUNTY News:

Beginning Wednesday, June 14, Route 12 to Bandelier National Monument will resume. The shuttle will carry visitors from the White Rock Visitor Center to the Frey Trailhead (across from Juniper Campground, and then to the park visitor center.

Shuttles run every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends.

NCRTD Plans To Transition To Zero Emission Fleet

The North Central RTD is committed to being an environmentally conscious and sustainable partner. One component of this goal is to reduce its carbon footprint through zero emission buses (ZEBs). The transition plan evaluates the current and planned facilities to determine how ZEBs can be accommodated, financial and funding efforts, and how the NCRTD workforce can support a zero-emission fleet.

New Mexico State Police Participate In National Click it Or Ticket Campaign May 22 Through June 4, 2023

NMSP News:

Statewide – The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) participated May 22 through June 4, in the National Occupant Protection Mobilization, Click it or Ticket (CIOT) Campaign.

The CIOT Campaign was conducted on all roadways within the state with an emphasis on seat belt use for both drivers and passengers.

During the two-week CIOT Campaign, NMSP officers issued 751 traffic citations of which 216 citations were for lack of seat belt usage and 24 for no child restraint.
