Christian Youth In Action To Lead Bible Club, Vacation Bible School In June & July

COMMUNITY News:

Twenty-one teens from Northern New Mexico are attending a Christian Youth in Action summer missionary training camp the first week of June. Then, they will be teaching six Vacation Bible Schools and one 5-Day Bible Club in June and July.  

The Clubs are free and open to children ages 4-12. They will feature Bible and missionary stories, songs, games, snacks, crafts, Scripture memory, contests and prizes.

Baggage Claim Kicks Off Co-op Summer Showcase Series

Local rock band Baggage Claim kicked off the inaugural Co-op Summer Showcase at 6 p.m. Friday, May 15. The concert was held at Los Alamos Co-op Park, adjacent to Los Alamos Schools Credit Union at 1010 Central Ave. This free concert was the first in the new series, which offers music from local musicians at this outside venue as opening acts for the main Friday night summer concert series. The Los Alamos County Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board is scheduled to meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building at 1000 Central Ave., and via Zoom.
