  • Tuesday, Oct. 8 – Amateur Radio Exam; and 
  • Friday, Oct. 11 – LAARC Monthly Meeting.

The Los Alamos Volunteer Examiner Group is giving exams for Amateur Radio Licenses. The exam session will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Club Meeting Room upstairs at 4017 Arkansas (the old Fire Barn). County: New Soapbox-Style Bathtub Gravity Race Oct. 9

Los Alamos County Recreation has announced the first-ever free Annual Soapbox-Style Gravity Race, set to take place along Central Avenue and Canyon Road. This community event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. 

This is a free event, but pre-registration is required for both the Gravity Race and the Push Race. The last day to register for this event is Wednesday, Oct. 9.
