Food Depot To Host 15th Annual Cranksgiving Nov. 11

A fun, community-building Thanksgiving tradition returns for its 15th edition in Santa Fe.

Nov. 11, approximately 175 bicycle riders of all ability levels will participate in Cranksgiving, the annual ride that is part scavenger hunt, part race and all benefit for the Food Depot. This ride is being sponsored by local businesses including BTI, BayWa r.e. Solar Systems, Barker Realty, Back Road Pizza, Albertsons, Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association, Second Street Brewery, Nuckoll’s Brewing Co, and the Railyard Corporation. Community Invited To Last Dark Night Of 2023 Tonight!

Pajarito Astronomers News:

Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Divisions have partnered up with the Pajarito Astronomers for the Dark Night program. Anyone with an interest in star gazing and the chance to look through a telescope is invited to come out to Spirio Soccer Fields tonight, Nov. 4, at Overlook Park in White Rock.

This is the last Dark Night of the 2023 season!

Volunteers from the Pajarito Astronomers Club will be present with telescopes starting about 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

LALT Cancels ‘Reefer Madness’ This Weekend Due To Illness

LALT News:
Due to illness among the cast, Los Alamos Little Theatre has canceled this weekend’s performances of “Reefer Madness”. The show’s production team is following CDC guidance to ensure a safe and healthy opening next weekend.
 
Those who have purchased tickets will be contacted by LALT in order to receive a refund or to change the date. They may also email producer@lalt.org with questions.
 
Performances are planned to continue the next two weekends, at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 10-18, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 12.

SANTA FE — More than 100 of the finest artists and craftspeople from across New Mexico will be selling their work at the Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair and the Institute of American Indian Art (IAIA) Holiday Art Market, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

Pianist Chenxing Huang To Perform Nov. 1 At Fuller Lodge

The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) has announced pianist Chenxing Huang for the Daytime Performance Series concert noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the Pajarito Room of Fuller Lodge.

LAAC hosts a concert on the first Wednesday of every month featuring a curated slate of musicians, performers and speakers. These are free to the public and all ages are welcome.
