LACW Seeks Musicians For Annual Holiday Prism Concert

The Los Alamos Community Winds (LACW) announces a call for musicians for its annual Holiday Prism Concert, Saturday Dec. 16, at Crossroads Bible Church.

As many in the community know, this performance is a “concert in the round” where musicians from all backgrounds are invited to join in a celebration of the season. Soloists and small ensemble (chamber) performances are being sought to be presented throughout the concert in a continuous sequence without intermission.

Los Alamos To Celebrate Halloweekend Oct. 27-28

Los Alamos Halloweekend—a spooky series of activities for the entire family—begins Friday, Oct. 27, with the featured event Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet running 4-6 p.m. downtown.

The weekend also includes activities such as the Pumpkin Glow and Scarecrow Contest on Central Avenue. All events, most of which are free, and many other seasonal activities can be found here.

Zia CU To Host Free Fall Funtivities For Kids Oct. 25-27

Zia Credit Union is celebrating all things local as part of its “Think Like a Local” campaign. Each month focuses on a different aspect of local business and life. In the month of October, Zia CU is hosting what it calls Free Fall Festivities, 1-4 p.m., at each of its three branches and everyone is invited.
