The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is holding its annual used bike collection Sept. 27-28 in the Parish Hall at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
A crew of mechanics and volunteers will give the donated old bikes new life and a great new home with an economically disadvantaged New Mexico kid.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz seeks unused or outgrown child or adult bicycles.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Traffic Safety Division will sponsor Car Seat Inspection Clinics at 11 locations across the state 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, as part of National Seat Check Saturday.

At our last Transportation Board meeting, Sept. 5, 2024, we received a presentation and took public comments on the Pedestrian Master Plan Update. The County has tasked Wilson and Co. to conduct the plan update that will replace the current plan from 1998.

Registration Open For 8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip
Thursday, Sept. 12, a representative passed out flyers and answered questions regarding the spring break trip for 8th graders interested in going to Washington, D.C.
There was an error regarding the date of the trip on the flyer. The date of the trip is March 17-20, 2025.
New pamphlets with the correct date will be available to students at the end of this week and will be available in the front office at Los Alamos Middle School.
