In preparation for the upcoming Jewish High Holidays of Rosh HaShanah (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the Jewish Day of Atonement), Rabbi Jack Shlachter will facilitate a two-part class on the holidays at the Los Alamos Jewish Center, 2400 Canyon Road.

NMDOT Supports National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week With Car Seat Checks Available Statewide

DEMING – Sept. 15-21 is National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week. The campaign focuses on the importance of properly securing children in an appropriate car or booster seat.

To support the nationwide event, the New Mexico Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Division  (NMDOT TSD) (NMDOT TSD) will sponsor Car Seat Inspection Clinics, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 as part of National Seat Check Saturday.
