County Update On Bathtub Row Reconstruction Project

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Public Works Department, in partnership with Department of Public Utilities and under contract with TLC Plumbing & Utility, continues to work on the Bathtub Row Reconstruction Project.

The project limits are Bathtub Row from Central Avenue to Peach Street, Peach/Nectar Street to 15th Street and utility improvements along 15th Street.

The project is divided into two phases with Phase 1 to be completed prior to winter. Phase 2 will start after a winter suspension, with a project substantial completion date of August 2025.

New Mexico Governor Announces Launch Of State-Funded Workforce Housing Development Funding Program

SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the launch of an unprecedented new state-funded workforce housing development funding program.

The Opportunity Enterprise Housing Development Program is a $125 million fund that represents the single largest state investment in housing. It’s also the first such program focused on housing families that don’t qualify for traditional affordable housing programs, but still lack housing options.

Diamond Drive Crack Sealing Starts Friday Sept. 6

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division, in coordination with Dismuke Contractors, are planning to perform pavement preservation (crack sealing) on Diamond Drive.

To minimize disruption to the travelling public, this work is planned from Friday, Sept. 6 through Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Beginning Friday morning, crews will start at the North Mesa roundabout and work west towards the golf course. On Saturday and Sunday, crews will start at Los Alamos Medical Center and work north and east to the golf course.
