Red River Receives Tourism Infrastructure Grant As Part Of Record Year For Destination Forward Program

RED RIVER — The Town of Red River is proud to announce it has been selected as one of 14 communities across New Mexico to receive funding through the New Mexico Tourism Department’s (NMTD) Destination Forward program for Fiscal Year 2026. The town was awarded $40,634 to install a network of five digital information kiosks that will enhance the visitor experience and support the town’s family-owned businesses.

Bicyclist Injured In Vehicle Crash At Diamond & Orange

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) officers, along with personnel from the Los Alamos Fire Department, responded at approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, to a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist near the intersection of Diamond Drive and Orange Street.

Upon arrival, emergency responders identified a 14-year-old male bicyclist who had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to Los Alamos Medical Center for further medical care. An update on the juvenile’s condition is not currently available. Read More

The 25th Annual Knights of Columbus Deacon Don Lucero golf tournament will be held at the Black Mesa Golf Club on Monday, Aug.18.
