ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office, announced that Joshua Gonzales made an initial appearance in federal court on an indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree murder.

NMSP Remind Truck Drivers To Drive In Right Lane

NMSP News:

The New Mexico State Police would like to remind drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) of the new law passed in July of 2023 regarding driving in the right lane. New Mexico Senate Bill 102, Section 1. 66-7-376 NMSA 1978, a truck tractor shall not be driven in the left lane of a roadway except under provisions as outlined by the bill.

Failure to obey could result in a penalty assessment of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for the first and second offenses and five hundred dollars ($500) for the third offense.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) has released Prisoners in 2022 – Statistical Tables. At yearend 2022, correctional authorities in the United States had jurisdiction over 1,230,100 persons in state or federal prisons, an increase of 2 percent or 25,100 persons from yearend 2021 (1,205,100 persons).

New Mexico State Police Crime Suppression Unit Makes Narcotics Arrest, Participates In Joint Auto Theft Operation

ALBUQUERQUE — At about 3 p.m., Nov. 8, 2023, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Crime Suppression Unit arrested Zion Graham, 24, of Albuquerque on an arrest warrant for the trafficking of Fentanyl.

Through investigation, agents had reason to believe Graham was in the area near Unser and Paradise in Albuquerque.

He was located in that area and arrested without incident. His vehicle, which is believed to contain additional narcotics, was secured and taken as evidence and is pending a search warrant.
