Brittany Alert Issued For Arthur Leblanc, 15, Of Santa Fe

SANTA FE – The Santa Fe Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Arthur Leblanc, 15, who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Leblanc was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt. His last known location was at his residence in Santa Fe at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. His direction of travel is unknown.

New Mexico State Police Investigates Shooting In Socorro

SOCORRO — The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau was called to investigate a shooting Oct. 31, near the Circle K at California and B Street in Socorro.

Investigators learned that at around 11 p.m., the Socorro Police Department was called to the Circle K for an individual who was having a verbal dispute with customers and employees at the Circle K. The dispute turned physical, and it was reported that at least one shot was fired.

FBI: Farmington Man Charged With Murder, Assault And Federal Firearms Crimes Remains In Jail Pending Trial

ALBUQUERQUE Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office, announced that Hanson Tsosie appeared in federal court on an indictment charging him with one count of first degree murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Today, Police Chief Dino Sgambellone released crime statistics through the third quarter of 2023, which were compiled by the Records Section of the Los Alamos Police Department.

During the third quarter of 2023, there were decreases in Simple Assault and Larceny. At the same time there was an increase in Aggravated Assault and Fraud. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham To Renew Executive Orders Around Gun Violence & Substance Misuse

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will renew executive orders declaring gun violence a public health emergency on Friday. The governor’s multi-pronged strategy is demonstrating progress as shown on the state’s gun violence dashboard.

The renewal extends the emergency to Dec. 1, 2023, ensuring that progress continues.

Highlights of updated data from Albuquerque and Bernalillo County since Sept. 8:  

  • 1,441 arrests;
  • 86 guns seized; and

State Police Investigate Two Deaths In San Miguel County

PECOS — Saturday, Oct. 28, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau was called to investigate 2 suspicious deaths at 94 North Main Street in Pecos, NM. 

NMSP Investigations Bureau agents learned that Oct. 28 NMSP  Communications received a call from a 17-year-old juvenile stating he heard gunshots inside his residence. With this information, NMSP officers arrived at the residence and observed a male and female deceased in the master bedroom with apparent gunshot wounds.

FBI: Malcolm Torres Gets 35 Years For Killing Stepdaughter

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced Tuesday that, per the terms of his plea agreement, Malcom Torres was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Torres, 30, of Española pled guilty to second degree murder April 10, 2023.

State Police Continue Proactive Operations In Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE — In September 2023, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) began a series of proactive operations in the Albuquerque area.

Officers were tasked by NMSP Chief Troy Weisler with focusing their efforts on apprehending wanted violent felons and suppressing violent crime in the Albuquerque area.

In addition to addressing violent crime, NMSP have been conducting traffic enforcement operations in Bernalillo County to reduce crashes, aggressive driving, speeding, lack of seatbelt usage, distracted driving and DWIs.
