New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will be conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during November 2023.

NMSP is bringing awareness to these events to reduce impaired driving-related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

FBI: Federal Jury Convicts 4 Taos County Compound Defendants In Connection With Kidnapping & Terrorism Plot

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal jury returned guilty verdicts against Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, his sisters Hujrah Wahhaj and Subhanah Wahhaj, and Subhanah’s husband, Lucas Morton, following a three week jury trial.

The jury convicted Siraj Wahhaj and Lucas Morton of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, providing material support to terrorists and conspiracy to murder an officer or employee of the United States.

FBI: Robert Benjamin Nelson Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison For Attempted Murder Of Federal Task Force Officer

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced Oct. 11, that Robert Benjamin Nelson was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

New Mexico State Police Make 22 DWI Arrests In Four Days

ALBUQUERQUE — Over four days the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) DWI Unit and officers took 22 suspected impaired drivers off the streets of Albuquerque.

From Oct. 19 through Oct. 22, officers patrolled the streets and highways in Albuquerque, actively looking for signs of impaired driving. Their vigilant efforts paid off as they successfully apprehended multiple individuals who posed a risk to themselves and others on the road.
