Duplicate Bridge In Los Alamos: Oct. 27, 2025

BRIDGE News:

We held a Club Appreciation game on Oct. 27 and participated in the ACBL-wide Instant Matchpoint game on October 29.

Martin Cooper and Jerry Fleming were open winners on Monday, and Jan Barnes and Reggie Fuchs were 1st in flight B. Steve Kemic and Jennifer Young were 1st locally in the Wednesday game.

BRIDGE News:

Bridge players at our October 20th game were introduced to the new Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) Executive Director Ramon Garcia. The Senior Centers and the bridge club have had a close relationship since the mid-1980s.

Open winners of this week’s Sectional Tournament at Clubs (STAC) games were Jennifer Young and Steve Kemic, John Ruminer and Earle Marie Hanson.  Strat B winners were Jack  Stafurik and Sam Borkowsky, and Strat C winners were Neill Goltz and Helen Butler.

Open Boating At Aquatic Center 7:10-8:10 PM Oct. 28

COUNTY News:

Open boating practice time for boaters using canoes, kayaks, and rafts is 7:10-8:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Aquatic Center, 2760 Canyon Road.

The doors open half an hour earlier for boat cleaning before entry. All watercraft must be rinsed off on the patio prior to pool entry.

Boaters must provide their own boats. All participants must have a wristband from the front desk before entering the pool. Life jackets are recommended for participants. Read More
