Burton Krohn was only 4 seconds off his predicted time in the opening season of Atomic City Road Runners Pace Race April 7 on the Canyon Rim Trail. Other accurate predictors were Ted Romero at 5 seconds off, Sue Elkins recording a 6 second error, and Nikol Strother with an 8 second differential.

Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort will end winter operations Sunday, April 12, and resort officials say they’ll be running the lifts at no charge today and Sunday to celebrate Sipapu’s strongest winter ever.

LAMS Athletes Compete In West Las Vegas Meet

LAMS News:

Congratulations to the Los Alamos Middle School Track and Field Team for competing in the West Las Vegas Invitational Track Meet.
 
With a small squad of only 21 over Spring Break, the boys team earned a dominating first place overall.
 
The girls team of 27 took home second place.
 
Individual first places went to Elijah Velasquez for the 800 M, 100 Hurdles, and Triple Jump. Jevon Montoya took first in the 1600. The boys 800 M Sprint Medley team of James Beauparlant, Nic Storey, Jevon Montyoa, and Elijah Velasquez also took first.

Jemez Mountain Trail Runs Announces Raffle For Secundino Sandoval Original Painting

The 10th Annual Jemez Mountain Trails Runs are scheduled for Saturday, May 23.

This year’s poster art is an original watercolor by Secundino Sandoval. All runners and volunteers get a poster. We are raffling off the original with framing by Village Arts to benefit the race. STILLWATER, Okla. – Los Alamos High School graduate Chase Ealey shined as the Oklahoma State University Track and Field program wrapped up a busy weekend of competition.

The OSU athlete set a school record and personal record Saturday during meets in Texas and Arkansas.
