Los Alamos Golf Operations Moves To New Golf Course Clubhouse Building

COUNTY News:

Last week, golfers began checking in for their tee times, hitting balls and transacting other business at the new Golf Course Community Building.  

Other parts of the building are still closed while County staff work on tenant improvements for Pajarito Golf Group, LLC, the new Food and Beverage vendor whose lease is set to begin in early November. Pajarito Golf Group is expected to begin actual operations this winter.

The Hawk 8th Grade Boys cross country team earned a perfect score at the Espanola Invitational last week. 

Cross country is scored by adding up the overall finish places of the first 5 runners on a team, so earning a perfect score requires a team to have the first 5 overall finishers.

Richard Thompson III was the top finisher in the Annual Jerry Bower Memorial 5K Race with a time of 20:52.
 
The race was Saturday and started at the Betty Ehart Senior Center and ran the streets north of downtown Los Alamos. The race is a fundraiser sponsored by the Los Alamos Alzheimer’s Association.

Registration Open For Wuldor Tournament At ULLR Fest

Registration is open for the Wuldor Tournament during ULLR Fest Sept. 20 at Pajarito Mountain.

Wuldor is a unique mountain disc golf tournament. Entries are $15 for Pro and $10 for all other divisions. Cash payout for top of field. Divisions will be Pro/Advanced/Novice. First 20 players to register will receive player packs.

To ensure fair play, enter your Division level:

  • Pro;
  • Advanced – anyone having played in two or more prior tournaments; and
  • Novice – beginner players only.

Twenty four people competed in Tuesday’s Atomic City Road Runners Pace Race. The course was a fairly flat 1-mile paved loop mainly on Estante Way in Pajarito Acres.
