Beginning Monday, Oct. 28, the main parking lot and ENTRANCE will be closed to the Los Alamos Golf Course so that the Clubhouse/Community Building contractor can continue important site work.

Parking Requirements for LAHS Cross Country Invitational and Elementary Mile

Due to construction/limited parking availability and the safety of everyone involved, those participating in the Los Alamos High School Cross Country Invitational and Elementary Mile event must adhere to the following parking plan:

Participants faced grueling climbs, snow and mud to earn spectacular views and fall colors during Sunday’s 7th Annual Pajarito Trail Festival. Pajarito Ski Hill hosted the festival, which included four separate races around the ski hill.

Racers were subject to the early winter weather earlier in the week, slipping and sliding through four inches of snow on the downhill and mud all along the course. Read More

The Santa Fe High School Demon’s starting quarterback (QB) was ejected from the game last week and therefore, by New Mexico Athletic Association (NMAA) rule, was required to sit out Friday night’s game. In an unprecedented win, Suyana Ferreria of Los Alamos earned nine gold and one silver medal for the Atomic Tumblers at their first away meet of the season.

Sixteen Atomic Tumblers attended the meet at Taos, seven gymnasts competed in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic (JO) Program, seven in the USA Gymnastics Xcel Program, and two, Suyana Ferreria and Anna Clark, competed in both.

The Los Alamos Volleyball Club will host a Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Los Alamos High School Gymnasium.

While some expected the Los Alamos Hilltoppers to roll to a win in Friday night’s game, most of the people who actually watch the games knew better. The Spartans returned many players including Junior Rolf Olguin. Olguin is likely the best QB in 2-4A.

Los Alamos Golfer Makes 6th Lifetime Hole In One!

Golfer Ted Ball of Los Alamos got his 6th lifetime hole in one Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Los Alamos Golf Course at the 15th hole during the Brodie Anderson Tournament. His wife, Jeanne Ball, told the Los Alamos Daily Post this morning that “he’s just a really good golfer.” This is the second hole in one Ball has made at hole 15 at the local course, she said, adding that his fourth hole in one was during an LAGA trip to Phoenix.
