Anders Medin, 14, was the top predictor in the weekly pace race Tuesday on the Blue Dot Trail in White Rock recording a 9 second differential from his predicted time.

Paul Geimer was the top predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners weekly pace race held last Tuesday  on the trail across from the Laboratory “S” Site on West Jemez Road with 22 second differential off his predicted time. Geimer was also the first finisher in the 3 mile trail run at 21:44.

There has been extensive flooding in the Las Vegas area, especially along the Gallinas River. It is best to avoid this area as crews clean up after the floods.

Heavy rainfall  two weeks ago raised streamflows to higher than normal. This past week was drier and streamflows fell back to near and below normal.

At their July 9 meeting, the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos was treated to a presentation by Guy Meyer, the Athletic Director for the Los Alamos Public Schools. Guy is from Santa Fe.

He graduated from St. Michaels High School and obtained a communications degree from Fort Lewis College. He went on to receive a Masters degree in Sports Administration from New Mexico Highlands University.
