New Mexico State Police Make 22 DWI Arrests In Four Days

ALBUQUERQUE — Over four days the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) DWI Unit and officers took 22 suspected impaired drivers off the streets of Albuquerque.

From Oct. 19 through Oct. 22, officers patrolled the streets and highways in Albuquerque, actively looking for signs of impaired driving. Their vigilant efforts paid off as they successfully apprehended multiple individuals who posed a risk to themselves and others on the road.

SANTA FE — After witnessing record visitation to New Mexico in 2022, New Mexico set a record $8.3 billion in direct visitor spending from tourism in 2022 according to a new study from the New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD).

The 2022 direct visitor spending record of $8.3 billion surpassed 2021 by $1.1 billion. The all-time direct visitor spending record was previously set in 2019 at a total of $7.4 billion.

North Bound Lane Closure On Diamond At Canyon Today

Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division crews will close the north bound bike lane on Diamond Drive beginning at the Canyon Road intersection at 8:30 a.m. through noon today, Oct. 20, weather permitting.

Field modifications allow the bike lane to shift over to the right north bound lane. Vehicle traffic will use the left north bound lane. Vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic are urged to slow down and watch for traffic signs and devices to guide them through the construction zone.
