Cerrillos/St. Francis RR Crossing Cleaning Detour Details

SANTA FE — Rio Metro Regional Transit and Herzog Transit Services will be cleaning the salt residue from the railroad ballast beneath the crossing panels at the intersection of Cerrillos Road and St. Francis Drive beginning Friday Oct. 20. This work is necessary to prevent the false activations of the crossing equipment at the intersection.

Atomic City Transit Announces Service Updates

Atomic City Transit Route 2M will be reinstated starting Monday, Oct. 23.  

In addition, a Dial-a-Ride service will be implemented before the regular bus service begins for the day.

Dial-a-Ride will operate 5:15-6 a.m. and 6:30-9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is open to the general public.

Call 661-RIDE (7433) to schedule your trip. Dispatch will take calls beginning at 5 a.m. and will only accept requests for same-day service. Dial-a-Ride is an “origin to destination” service operated primarily curb-to-curb.

Los Alamos County Ice Rink Parking Lot Closure Tuesday … Oversized Load Transport Wednesday

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Public Works Department will close the ice rink parking lot at 4 p.m. Tuesday through 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 to install a temporary chiller. This is a slight logistic change from the Oct. 16 date the department reported last week.

Additionally, an oversized load carrying a crane and equipment for this project is scheduled for Wednesday morning that could slow traffic on N.M. 502 and Trinity Drive.

          • Taos Chile Line service hours reduced; Turquoise Trail, Route reinstated with new updated route and number

Beginning Monday, Oct. 16, the Blue Bus will operate the all-new 275 Turquoise Trail Route, providing service to Madrid, Los Cerrillos, N.M. 599 Rail Runner Station, Santa Fe Outlets and Santa Fe Place Mall. The new fare-free service will offer four round trips Monday through Friday.

Atomic City Transit: Route 2T Detoured Due To Construction

Due to the N.M. 4 and Truck Route intersection lane closure to White Rock, Atomic City Transit Route 2T will initiate a detour down the Main Hill Road (N.M. 502) to White Rock.

The inbound trip is unaffected. East Jemez Road and Royal Crest – Stop #415 will be closed on the outbound trip to White Rock.
