Y’all head on over to our September Charity Breakfast 7-11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3!

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse are stewards of the historical lodge at 650 North Mesa Road. We host a monthly charity breakfast that supports local Los Alamos County non-profit organizations. Profits from our breakfasts are given to the charity being hosted.

This year we have hosted:

  • The 4-H Club;
  • NJROTC;
  • Lemonade Living;
  • Habitat for Humanity; and
  • The Pony Club.

North Community Water Repair Scheduled For Monday

Repairs are scheduled for Monday where a water main is leaking at the corner of North Road and Urban Street. Gas, Water & Sewer workers from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will begin work at 8 a.m. and expect to be finished by 4 p.m. Monday.

Section Of North Road Closed To Repair Water Line Break

A section of North Road is closed to through traffic for an emergency repair to a main line water break.

Motorists should avoid North Road along Urban Park between the spot where the tennis courts sit and the road’s intersection with Sycamore Street and 42nd Street.

Anyone going to Quemazon will need to approach it from the direction of Diamond Drive.

Atomic City Transit Regular Service Closed On Labor Day

Atomic City Transit regular scheduled bus service will not operate on Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Bandelier shuttle service will continue to run 30-minute service during the holiday.

Regular fixed-route service will resume Tuesday, Sept. 5.
