Seven youth alpine ski racers traveled Jan. 18-21  to Colorado to compete in the first event of the US Ski & Snowboard (USSA) Rocky Mountain Southern Series, hosted by the Durango Winter Sports Club.

The  Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers hosted the Moriarty Pintos Tuesday night in Griffith Gymnasium.

The toppers led the contest most of the way and closed out the game with a win 66-53.

Los Alamos Deputy Police Chief Taking Polar Plunge To Support Local Special Olympic Athletes

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) is organizing a polar plunge to raise money and awareness for its local Special Olympic Athletes.

Deputy Chief Oliver Morris will be jumping into an outdoor icy pool at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Buffalo Thunder.

The Los Alamos High School Girls Wrestling team competed in the Sartan Scuffle at St. Pius in Albuquerque Friday and Saturday, finishing 9th overall.

“They showed dedication and resilience through a long two days of wrestling,” LAHS Girls Wrestling Head Coach Emily Tew said.

The Los Alamos High School Hilltopper Girls Varsity Basketball Team hosted the Santa Fe Indian School Lady Braves Thursday night at Griffith Gymnasium.

The Toppers and Lady Braves swapped the lead for most of the game. In the 4th quarter, the Toppers gained momentum and established a close but comfortable lead.

The final score was 43-35 in favor of the Toppers.
